The Basic Laboratory Human Process (BLHP) laboratory is a one-week program intended to help the participant gain insights into his own behavior and his impact on others. It also attempts to provide an opportunity to experiment with new behavior leading to growth and effectiveness.

The Advanced Laboratory Human Process (ALHP) laboratory is for those who have gone through the BLHP laboratory. The laboratory attempts to provide an opportunity to the participant to work on issues critical to further his own growth and effectiveness.

The Professional Development Program intends to develop professionals capable of conducting sensitivity training or similar experiential learning based laboratories. Those who have gone through a BLHP, ALHP and demonstrated an aptitude for laboratory education and applied behavioral sciences are admitted to the Professional Development Program. They are required to go through three Phases usually ranging over 3 years.

In the First Phase they learn about themselves, behavioral processes in systems and diagnostic methods for change in systems through a two-week intensive laboratory.

In the Second Phase they gain an in-depth understanding into human processes, process diagnostic methods for change in systems through a two-week intensive laboratory. In the Second Phase they gain an in-depth understanding into human processes, process diagnosis of individuals, groups, systems and organizations, intervention strategies for change, models of laboratory education, designing laboratory training, etc.

In the Third Phase, called the Internship Phase, the candidate is expected to work as a co-trainer along with other trainers or participate in conducting other interventions. Between the Three Phases the candidate is required to go through related books and readings, work with other ISABS professionals to gain more understanding and skills in process facilitation through research and other projects .

This program is both for those who are already Graduates in Behavioural Science or non-Behavioural Science disciplines, as the education provided through this program is not available in any university or other educational institution of India.

OTHER PROGRAMS

One of the objectives of ISABS is to generate new Behavioural Science knowledge and technology, experiment with it and disseminate it to others. In tune with this objective the Professional Members of ISABS keep offering new laboratory programs for a variety of groups from time to time. In the recent years, the focus of the new labs have been on the social services sector including government systems, voluntary agencies, youth, health and educational institutions, extension workers, social workers, etc. Special programs dealing with women are also offered. Some of these programs dealing with women are also offered. Some of these programs include:

Laboratory on Extension Motivation for developing a high degree of concern for "helping" others for those in helping professions (e.g., medicine, social work, development administration, employee welfare, labor unions, education, voluntary work, entrepreneurship development, etc,)

HRD and OD Facilitator's Laboratory for enhancing the Human Resource and Organization Development competencies of HRD Personnel and Training Managers.

Personal Growth Laboratory for Women to help them develop a deeper understanding of their own inner world, the multiple roles they play, and initiate processes to strengthen one's own self.

Creativity Workshops for developing creative abilities in one's own self and facilitating creativity development in others.

Laboratory in Applied Behavioural Sciences for Trainers of Civil Servants to develop behavioral science training competencies. This lab attempts to equip participants with abilities to use structured exercises, role- plays and other structured or semi-structured methods for training government staff.

Personal Growth Laboratories for Youth to help them gain insights into their behavior, and help them set career and other developmental goals, for a better future.
